Wholly Abiding
March 16 | Discipleship Guide
Be Real Together:
Take a few minutes to catch up, tell stories, and laugh together. Trust and friendship take time to build. If you’re launching a new DG, one person should tell their story — what do we need to know about you? Next week, have another person in your DG share their story.
Read Together: John 15:1-8 CSB
This week, we explored what it means to abide in Jesus with our whole selves. Jesus reminds us that He is the vine and we are the branches — our life and strength come from Him. True abiding means trusting God with our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
The One Question:
Ask this question at your family meal or Discipleship Group.
Which part of yourself — heart, soul, mind, or strength — is God inviting you to more fully surrender to Him?
Grow Together:
Use these questions to go deeper with your DG or for personal study.
- A Heart Set on Repentance: What does repentance look like in your daily life? How can regularly examining your heart help you stay connected to Jesus?
- A Soul Saturated in Prayer: How has prayer shaped your relationship with God? What practices could help you cultivate a deeper, ongoing conversation with Him?
- A Mind Shaped by Scripture: In what ways does Scripture influence your decisions and thought life? How can you create more space for God’s Word to shape your perspective?
- A Strength Rooted in God: Trusting God means relying on His strength rather than our own. Where is God inviting you to trust Him more fully right now?
Pray Together:
Take time to pray with and for each other.
Suggested Prayer Prompts:
