Hey there.

Vision Sunday

March 2 | Discipleship Guide

Be Real Together:

Take a few minutes to catch up, tell stories, and laugh together. Trust and friendship take time to build. If you’re launching a new DG, one person should tell their story — what do we need to know about you? Next week, have another person in your DG share their story.

Read Together: Matthew 5:14-16 CSB

This Vision Sunday, we celebrated how God has been shaping our church and unveiled the fresh vision for our community as Bright City Church. Jesus calls His followers to be a city on a hill—a beacon of light that cannot be hidden. As we step into this new season, we are embracing our purpose to be a light in Everett, shining brightly so that others will see Jesus. Our vision is not just about what we do but about who we are becoming — a people transformed by abiding in Christ, living out His Kingdom realities wherever He leads.

The One Question:
Ask this question at your family meal or Discipleship Group.

What would it look like for you to shine as a beacon of light in your neighborhood, workplace, or community this week?

Grow Together:
Use these questions to go deeper with your DG or for personal study.

  1. Know Your Purpose:
    • Our vision is to be a beacon of light that all will see Jesus. How does knowing this purpose shape the way you view your own role in this church community?
    • What are some practical ways you can live with intentionality to reflect Jesus to those around you?
  2. Commit to Abiding:
    • The heart of our mission is to Encounter Christ, Abide in Him, and Embody Kingdom Realities. What rhythms or practices help you stay connected to Jesus throughout the week?
    • Where is God inviting you to deepen your abiding lifestyle?
  3. Embody the Vision:
    • God is calling us not just to attend church but to be the church. What unique gifts or passions has God given you that could shine light in your community?
    • How can you partner with others in your group to live out this vision together?

Pray Together:

Take time to pray with and for each other.

Suggested Prayer Prompts:
  • Thank God for His faithfulness in shaping our community and giving us a fresh vision.
  • Ask for courage to abide in Christ daily and to embody His Kingdom wherever He leads.
  • Pray for our church to truly become a Bright City — a beacon of light that draws people to Jesus.
