The Kingdom is Upon Us - The Harvest is Plentiful, Workers are Few
November 11| DNA Guide
Be Real Together:
Take a few minutes to catch up, tell stories, and laugh together. Trust and friendship take time to build. If you’re launching a new DNA, one person should tell their story — what do we need to know about you? Next week, have another person in your DNA share their story.
Read Together: Matthew 9:35-38 CSB
The One Question:
Ask this question at your family meal or DNA.
This story in Matthew confronts notions and misunderstandings we may have about the gospel, while also revealing who Jesus is and the passions he desires to share with us.
What is something you are deeply passionate about? What does it look like for you to share your passions with others?

Grow Together:
Use these questions to go deeper with your DNA or for personal study.
1. Matthew 9:35 tells us that Jesus goes into all the towns and villages to teach in the synagogues, preach the good news and heal people. Jesus doesn’t wait for people to come to Him, He goes to them. It has been said that the Gospel isn’t that you found God, it is that He has found you!
Think of a time in your life where you felt insignificant or like nobody sees you. What did it look like for Jesus to meet you in that space?
2. Matthew 9:36 shows us that Jesus isn’t on a mindless mission, He cares and sees us. The verse says he has compassion on us. Compassion meaning He suffers with us.
Examine your heart, how does it make you feel to know that Jesus has compassion for you? Do you believe that in your heart or is it difficult for you to grasp?
3. In Matthew 9:37-38, Jesus tells us that the harvest is abundant but the workers are few. Jesus is saying this with a clear understanding of the mission field…because He is actively on mission as we see all throughout scripture! Jesus uses a metaphor to show that there is a great harvest(the Gospel), but not many workers(us.)
Many of us make excuses for why we don’t need to serve or be in ministry. “I'm not gifted enough, someone else will do it, I don't like to do that, I am just too busy.”
Take a moment to pray by yourself and then with your group. Where are you feeling called to serve the Church/community? What would it look like for your group to serve together for a season?
