Life of Generosity
June 25 | DNA Guide
Be Real Together:
Take a few minutes to catch up, tell stories, and laugh together. Trust and friendship take time to build. If you’re launching a new DNA, one person should tell their story — what do we need to know about you? Next week, have another person in your DNA share their story.
Read Together: Matthew 6:1-4 CSB
The One Question:
Ask this question at your family meal or DNA.
This week, we were blessed to hear from Jeff Price who shared from Matthew 6 on what it looks like to live a life of generosity.
Are there areas in your life where you can be more generous/servant minded?
Are there areas in your life where you can be more generous/servant minded?
Grow Together:
Use these questions to go deeper with your DNA or for personal study.
- Jeff talked about how when we think about generosity we also need to check the posture of our heart. What is your heart posture towards giving and serving?
- Jeff shared a story about a man who passed away and left behind one million pennies. His family had no idea he was even collecting them! Is there an item you own that you idolize? Is there something in your life you feel you haven’t fully surrendered to God?
- 1 Timothy 6:6-10 (ESV): "But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content." How is your contentment level these days?
- We believe that giving to the local church is an act of worship and a part of our discipleship. Take a moment to pause and reflect. Ask yourself, "How am I doing with respect to giving/tithing?" Is this something you need guidance or encouragement in?
Pray Together:
Take time to pray with and for each other.
