Grace At The Altar
November 24 | Discipleship Guide
Be Real Together:
Take a few minutes to catch up, tell stories, and laugh together. Trust and friendship take time to build. If you’re launching a new DG, one person should tell their story — what do we need to know about you? Next week, have another person in your DG share their story.
Read Together: Genesis 22:1-19 CSB
This week, we explored the altar as a symbol of sacrifice, worship, and trust in God. Through Genesis 22:1–19, we saw Abraham’s radical obedience in being willing to sacrifice Isaac, trusting in God’s provision. When we follow Him it will cost us something, but it’s an act of worship that deepens our faith and transforms us.
The One Question:
Ask this question at your family meal or Discipleship Group.
What does "living as sacrifice” look like for you right now, and how can it deepen your relationship with God?
Grow Together:
Use these questions to go deeper with your DG or for personal study.
1. The altar represents a place of worship and sacrifice. How might setting aside intentional moments for prayer and reflection help you live as a "living sacrifice" in your daily walk with God?
2. How have you experienced God’s provision in a time of testing, and how did it shape your trust in Him moving forward?
3. What is something in your life that feels difficult to surrender to God, and how might trusting His provision help you take that step of obedience?

Pray Together:
Take time to pray with and for each other.
