The Bigger Battle
November 3 | Discipleship Guide
Be Real Together:
Take a few minutes to catch up, tell stories, and laugh together. Trust and friendship take time to build. If you’re launching a new DG, one person should tell their story — what do we need to know about you? Next week, have another person in your DG share their story.
Read Together: Ephesians 2:1-7 CSB
In this passage we learned about the spiritual battle against Satan and the victorious power of Christ. Before knowing Christ, people are spiritually dead in their sins and under Satan's influence. They follow the ways of the world, the flesh, and the devil, living in disobedience and under God's wrath. God rescues us through Jesus, by making us alive in Christ. Believers are spiritually resurrected and seated with Christ in the heavenly realms, sealing our victory over Satan and his forces. Salvation and our victory are by grace through faith in Jesus. Ultimately, Jesus is victorious against Satan's influence and the call to believers is stand in Christ's work and participate by abiding in Christ.
